In order to promote sales of our products on the Romanian market for some time we have been considering participating in a local exhibition. Colleagues from the RETIC GARDURI branch did some research and came up with the idea of taking part in the AGRARIA exhibition in April, which is held annually in the fields near the industrial park in Cluj-Napoca - the second largest city in Romania and the unofficial capital of the Transylvania region. Cluj-Napoca is only about 100 km from the headquarters of our Romanian office, so the decision to participate was made quickly. As I have already written, the show takes place on grassy fields, so no pavilions and paved roads, sidewalks, running water and similar comforts we are used to from shows in Bratislava, Vienna, Prague or Budapest. But we were not discouraged and we just had to hope for good weather, which if it failed, would certainly affect the number of visitors. We went to Romania two days before the exhibition, because besides the 8-hour journey, we had to set up the stand, set up the samples, buy everything we needed, etc. Fortunately, the weather and everything else worked out and we have to say that it was a very nice exhibition and we were pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors. From professionals, farmers to families with children. From our product range there was interest especially in knotted and breeding netting, but also in fence panels and gabions. Already on the third of the four days of the exhibition we gave out almost all the brochures and contacts to our colleagues from RETIC GARDURI. We were delighted with the visits of our Romanian customers and a representative of our currently largest wire supplier, which manufactures in Romania, came to greet us. The reactions of some visitors who already register the location of our RETIC GARDURI branch on the main road between Oradea and Cluj were also pleasant. This "open-air" exhibition was in many ways a new experience, but we already know what and how and hopefully nothing will surprise us in the future except the weather. We believe that this exhibition has made us known to an even wider public in Romania and that the RETIC brand will gradually become synonymous here, as in our other markets, with a quality product range, speed of delivery and reasonable pricing policy.
